Deon Barber
Deon Barber is Vice President of Portfolio Management, North America. In this role he is responsible for managing the Project Resourcing Solutions business portfolio of Futurestep North America. Deon’s focus is to develop teams of highly skilled recruiters and professional contract resources, particularly information technology and engineering professionals.
Deon brings extensive experience establishing recruiting and delivery offerings in North America and South East Asia for multiple reputable businesses over a twenty year period.
Deon held a key executive leadership position for Artech, the tenth largest Information Technology Company in North America. He was responsible for strategic development and growth of its technology offering in the Central region.
Previously, Deon was Senior Vice President of The Bartech Group, a global leader in Workforce Solutions. He played a pivotal role in developing and executing staffing solutions in the IT and Engineering fields which experienced significant growth. He was also the Global Vice President for RCG Global Services.
Deon was the founder of a contingency and search firm specializing in IT and Life Sciences. He is also the founder of two non-profit organizations supporting underserved communities.
Deon was a student athlete, playing Football and Baseball at McDaniel College and continued his education at Howard University with a focus in Civil Engineering & Religious Studies.
Deon has coached youth basketball for seven years, served as a student Junior Varsity assistant coach for 2 years, and assistant coach for girl’s volleyball in the Katy Volleyball Association.
Deon lives in Frisco, Texas with his wife Juliette, two daughters Brianna and Jordyn, and grandson Kaiden.
