Brian leads a Hardware Reliability Engineering team focused on the development of new display and sensor technologies essential to products such as Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad. Since joining Apple in 2007 he has partnered with design and operations teams to integrate every product with a sense of enduring quality.

Previously, Brian worked as a tribologist in the computer disk drive industry, developing technologies to prevent the dreaded “hard drive crash” while pushing speed and capacity. He has authored more than 20 patents and 12 technical papers on the topic.

Brian first learned about PCA while serving as a coach and referee for youth soccer.
