John Wacker

President of Peak Performance Hawaii

John Wacker is President of Peak Performance Hawaii assisting athletes with mental conditioning and goal setting with individuals and teams. He moved to Hawaii in 1993 after "Running with the Bulls" in Spain. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University in 1996 becoming a high school counselor and Varsity golf coach. He later coached Varsity basketball at La Pietra School for Girls before becoming an outrigger paddling coach for the Outrigger Canoe Club. John has won multiple State Regatta Championships in outrigger paddling as well as age group World Championships in the Molokai Hoe. John has been a trainer with PCA since 2004.

John was born in football crazy Ann Arbor, Michigan where he earned 4 varsity letters in high school in the sports of football, basketball, baseball and track and field. After attending Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana on a full athletic scholarship for football he signed a free agent contract with his home state Detroit Lions as an outside linebacker. John then moved to London, England where he coached and played "Gridiron" or "American Football" as the English called it.
